Bob Conn, Principal Scientist - RTI International
Mr. Conn was a Founder and CTO of siXis before returning to RTI as a Principal Scientist to continue his work pioneering silicon technology. Before co-founding siXis, Mr. Conn was a Principal Scientist at RTI International with over 35 years of experience in semiconductor and systems engineering when he began work on the technology that led to the creation of siXis. He started his career designing integrated circuits at National Semiconductor in 1970 as a senior engineer. For 15 years, starting in 1981, Mr. Conn ran his own design consulting firm, Connsult, providing design and prototype work on more than 100 projects, and receiving national recognition. He spent 10 years at Xilinx as a principal engineer and twice won the Ross Freemen – Xilinx’s Innovator of the Year award. Mr. Conn holds more than 30 patents with an additional 10+ patents pending. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
